Transport to/from the airport

Dalaman’s airport is located about 6 km from the city centre. Do you want to go to Marmaris? The journey is about one hour and 45 minutes. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi rank is located in front of the airport. You can take a taxi to the towns of Dalaman and Marmaris. The fare to Marmaris is about 180 Turkish Lira (YTL).
  • Bus

    Havas operates the buses from the airport. They go to the centre of Dalaman and to the bus station in Marmaris. The station is 3 km from the city centre. You can change to another bus or a taxi there. 

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Dalaman:
  • Bus

    If you want to travel cheaply, then take the dolmus in Dalaman. These are mini-buses that you can stop anywhere on the street. The dolmus runs along a set route from one of the bus stations. But of course you can also explore Bodrum using the 'regular' buses. These are very useful for exploring the surroundings of Dalaman.
  • Taxi

    You can hail a taxi anywhere on the street in Dalaman. The taxi fares are higher in the evenings than during the day.

  • It is recommended to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and DTP. This is not obligatory.

Passport and visa

You need a passport or identity card that is still at least valid for at least 6 months when you arrive. Apart from a passport or identity card, you also need a visa. 

Since 10 April 2014 you are required to obtain a visa before you travel. You cannot get a visa at airports in Turkey any more. You can only pay for your visa with a credit card. To make sure that your payment is made on time, we recommend arranging your visa at least 24 hours in advance. Please note! Do you have a French passport? In winter, it is 1 hour later in Dalaman than it is in the Netherlands.


The currency used in Dalaman is the Turkish Lira (YTL).
