On 8 April, we got our very own flower. The official name of this pink tulip is Premier Amour (‘first love’) but we prefer to call it the Transavia Tulip - representing kindness and luck.

Why this tulip?

With this tulip, we commemorate our sixtieth anniversary. It represents some special memories, never to be forgotten. Think back to your first holiday, your first flight or even your first holiday fling. The tulip’s lively colours truly reflect Transavia’s identity: Dutch pride with a positive attitude towards the future.

Festive launch in Amsterdam

We ‘baptised’ the tulip at the Amsterdam Tulip Museum with a special group of colleagues: people who were all born in 1965 (the year Transavia was founded), as well as the young talent who represent our future.

An expression of gratitude to our employees

Thanks to all our employees’ efforts and passion, Transavia has made it to sixty. That is why we invited them to share this special moment with us. CEO Marcel de Nooijer baptised the tulip and added: ‘This tulip represents what we’ve built together - sixty years of passion, accessibility and that famous Dutch down-to-earth attitude, all with a smile.’
