What should I do if my baggage does not appear on the carousel on arrival?

Is your luggage not on the baggage belt when you arrive at the airport? That’s very frustrating. We work together with the handler and do everything possible to bring your luggage back to you. The handler is a local company that we hire to arrange several tasks for Transavia at the airport, such as luggage handling and check-ins.

There are two ways to report missing luggage, depending on your arrival airport: online or at Transavia’s luggage service before you leave the airport.

Report your missing luggage online:

  • Report your missing luggage through this link: the online reporting form.
  • You will receive a reference number after making your report. This number will allow you to follow the status of your luggage.

Report your missing luggage at the airport:

  • Go to Transavia’s luggage service at the airport. You will recognise the service desk by a sign with logos, including the Transavia logo.
  • You will fill in the ‘Property Irregularity Report’ (PIR) at the service desk. This form contains your details and the details of your luggage, such as the number of the luggage label (bag tag). Some airports have kiosks where you can fill in the form yourself.
  • The worker at the service desk will make a missing luggage report and give you a copy of the PIR. There will be a reference number on the PIR that you can use to follow the status of your missing luggage.

You don’t have to take any further action. The handler at the airport will contact you as soon as your luggage arrives. This is usually within 48 hours*. We will bring your luggage as soon as possible to your holiday or house address. In some countries, however, it is not possible to bring your luggage to your holiday or house address due to safety regulations. In that case, you will have to get your luggage from the airport yourself.

Do you have to buy toiletries and clothes because of your missing luggage? You can declare those costs, as far as they are reasonable and proportionate, through our contact form. Make sure to send photos of your receipts along with your declaration.

*If it takes longer, there are a number of things you can do. Read more about them in the FAQ about the ‘status of your missing luggage’.

Does your flight number start with ‘TO’?

In collaboration with the airport services, we do our best to deliver your baggage as quickly as possible.
