Can I bring food and drinks on the plane?
You can bring solid foods in your hand luggage and cabin bag, such as sandwiches, salads and biscuits. Liquid foods such as peanut butter, sauces and soups must be packed in containers of a maximum of 100 millilitres, and fit into a transparent bag of a maximum of 1 litre. Check how much luggage you can bring with you in the cabin.
Buying food and drinks after the security check
If you buy you (alcoholic-free) drinks after the security check, you can take them in the cabin. Of course, you can also order food and drinks on board.
Alcohol
You can enjoy a beer, wine or other alcoholic beverage during the flight but only if you buy them on board. You are not allowed to drink alcoholic beverages you brought on board yourself.
Baby food
- You can bring as much baby food on board as your baby needs during the flight. The baby food does not have to be put in separate plastic bags.
- If you want to bring boiled water to mix with formula, remember to do so in bottles of a maximum of 100 millilitres, as water is a liquid.
Tip! We can heat baby food on board. If you would you like us to, notify our colleagues on the plane. Make sure you do this on time, as it may take a while to heat baby food. The reason for that is that we do this ‘au bain marie’ (that means in a water bath).
Bringing fluids in your hold luggage
The rules for fluids apply only to cabin bags. You are allowed to have fluids in packages of more than 100 millilitres in your hold luggage. Check out our FAQ about fluids in your hold luggage to see all the rules.
