Can I bring a drone?
Yes, you can bring a drone on board our flights. Please note the following rules:
- You can only bring your drone in your hand luggage if it is smaller than 40 x 30 x 20 cm and weighs under 10 kg.
- If your drone is lithium battery-operated, bring those batteries in your hand luggage, even if you are bringing the drone itself as hold luggage.
- You can bring a maximum of two batteries with a maximum of 160 Wh each.
Can I fly my drone anywhere?
No, you cannot fly your drone anywhere. If you disregard the rules, there is chance your drone will be confiscated at customs. That would really be a shame if you were planning on making great pictures. Also, there are rules for operating your drone, which vary per country. Make sure you check those rules before you fly your drone abroad.
Good to know: drones are not allowed on flights to Morocco. If you take your drone to that destination, it will be confiscated.
Bringing extra batteries
If you are you bringing extra batteries with you, then preferably do so in their original packaging. If you don’t have that, isolate the poles using tape and pack the batteries separately in plastic bags. Batteries of over 160 Wh are no longer allowed on planes.
