Book your plane ticket to Constantine

Constantine lies in northern Algeria and is the country's oldest city. Its rich history goes back more than 2,000 years. Approximately 80 kilometres from the Mediterranean, Constantine is an important trade centre for leather, wool and linen. Visitors will find plenty to explore!

This Algerian pearl is also nicknamed ‘The City of Bridges' because of a deep gorge that splits Constantine in two. The most spectacular bridge that spans the gorge is undoubtedly the Sidi M’Cid suspension bridge: built in 1912, it hangs 175 metres above the ravine. Take a walk across the bridge for a magnificent view! For those with a fear of heights, resist the urge to look down and let the sweeping vistas distract you.

Sights in and around Constantine

Ready to explore beyond the bridges? Visit the Ahmed Bey palace and admire its lovely mosaics. Or tour the Ben-Badis mosque and the ruins of the Antonian Roman aqueduct. Highly recommended!
