Relax in the famous hammam
Did you know that Biskra’s nickname is the ‘gateway to the desert’? World-famous artists and writers from Europe travelled here specially to find inspiration. The first place that many visitors go when they visit Biskra is the famous Hammam Salihine bathhouse. As you enter this exceptional hammam, it’s like you’ve gone back in time. That’s because the bathhouse was built by the Romans and it hasn’t changed much since then. Not only can you relax completely here, but the water is also said to have healing properties. If you fancy some more vigorous activity in water, go to Aqua Palm, which is Algeria’s largest water park. It has 32 slides and even a huge pirate ship. The water park is not only a fantastic place for kids, but it’s also lots of fun for adults.
