Flight cancellation

We are doing our very best to bring you to your destination. Despite our best efforts, it’s possible that your flight may be cancelled. Naturally, this is an unpleasant experience. If this happens, you can rebook your ticket or request a refund. The regulations for this are set out in European Regulation 261/2004. Below we further explain your options if we have cancelled your flight.

What happens if your flight has been cancelled? If your flight with Transavia has been cancelled, you can choose between getting your money back or opting for a different flight. You may be entitled to compensation. The rules for this have been set out in EU regulation 261/2004. If your flight has been cancelled, Transavia can refund your money. This only applies to flights that have been cancelled. You can also select the next available flight or have your ticket changed to the next comparable Transavia flight at a later date of your choice. If we cancel your flight and there are no extraordinary circumstances, you are entitled to financial compensation. If you are entitled to compensation from Transavia, the amount depends on the length of the flight. If your flight is cancelled and you opt to rebook your flight, you are entitled to care. If the cancelled flight means that you need to stay at your destination for longer, we will reimburse the hotel costs. If your flight is cancelled on the day of departure, please go to the service desk at the airport, or get in touch with the Service Centre.
