Book your plane ticket to Figari

Although Corsica is known for its rocky mountain regions, you can find some modest hills near to Figari, which are perfect for walking! You can enjoy a walk across splendid fields and through vineyards. If you’re looking for adventure, you will find the Omu di Cagna mountain in the north of the region. It’s summit is at 1217 metres, which is an impressive climb with equally impressive views. The 70-metre high waterfall Piscia di Gallu is also highly recommended. Do you see yourself as a true walker? Conca is around a hour’s drive from Figari. Here you can find the start point of the GR20 (Grande Randonnée), one of France’s best known walking routes. This walk is known as Europe’s toughest long-distance walk, so make sure you’ve broken in your walking shoes!

Splendid beaches

The most southerly point of Corsica, Bonifacio, is not far from Figari. This city is known for its impressive fort and views, but particularly for its amazing coastline. Here you will find spectacular cliffs, enormous caves, and the best sandy beaches. For instance, you can visit the most popular beaches at Sant’Amanza, Rondinara and Petit Sperone. Alternatively, discover the Lavezzi islands, which you need to take a boat to get to.
