Georgia
Tbilisi, the country’s capital, is one of the highlights of a trip to Georgia. This vibrant city combines old charm with modern influences. It has numerous sights, one being Narikala Fortress located on a hilltop. It offers you spectacular views of the city. The city also has many museums, galleries, restaurants and markets for you to explore.
But don’t forget to take a trip into the countryside. Trek through the Caucasus Mountains and take in the stunning views. Fancy some adventure? Then go paragliding from one of these vantage points. You can even click on your skis in the winter! If you’d prefer something less fast paced, a wine tasting amid the vast Kakheti vineyards is highly recommended. You will also find several thermal spas in Georgia, such as the one in Borjomi.
It goes without saying that a trip to Georgia is not complete without trying the local cuisine. Why not treat your taste buds to khachapuri (cheese-filled bread), khinkali (stuffed dumplings) or badrijani nigvzit (aubergine stuffed with walnut)? And your meal will only be complete when you order a delicious local wine to accompany it.
