Puglia

Puglia, also known as Apulia, is a beautiful region on the coast with white sandy beaches and a spectacular panorama of rugged rocks. Located both at the Adriatic Sea and Ionic Sea. Not bad, right? But wait, there’s more! In Puglia you’ll find lovely green hills and ancient architecture. The typical white houses with cone-shaped roofs, or ‘trulli’, in Alborobello are deservedly a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The perfect mix of nature and culture! And we haven’t even started yet about the delicious cuisine, as you can’t leave Puglia without tasting the local olives and pastas. Utterly scrumptious! 

In the north of Puglia you’ll find the most beautiful coastal town of Italy: Vieste. This city is built on the rocky peninsula Gargano and is also known as the ‘spur of the boot’. With its limestone-white houses and quaint historic centre full of cosy little streets, you shouldn’t miss out on it. How about the 30-kilometres long coastline? Full of great sandy beaches, coves, caves, and islets. But you could also take your bathing towels to the cities of Polignano a Mare, Otranto, and Monopoli, and lie down in some beautiful locations.
