In 2.5 hours you’ll fly to the beautiful seaside coastal city of Olbia in the north-east, and part of the gorgeous Costa Smeralda (emerald coast). It’s also known as the ‘gateway to Sardinia’, as from here you’ll travel onwards to the most beautiful islands of Italy, or you’ll explore the Mediterranean island itself. Rent a car and go on an adventure! It’s a good idea to book several accommodations on the island, as it allows you to see Sardinia from its different sides. It’s a convenient way to pay a visit to every picturesque little bay of the island.

Sardinia: the to-dos

Cagliari, Sardinia’s capital city, is a thriving city with a rich history. It has an old city centre with narrow streets, colourful houses and historic sights, such as the Castello district, the Cagliari Cathedral, and the Roman amphitheatre.
