Dakar

In the most western point of Africa lies Senegal, with its beautiful capital city Dakar. The city is almost completely surrounded by the Atlantic ocean, so beaches everywhere. There is a lovely climate and much to do, so you not surprisingly, this is a great place to spent you holidays. 

Sun, sea, beach

The Atlantic ocean calls as soon as you start your descent on Dakar. This place is a paradise for surfers and kitesurfers. Are you looking for a more relaxing way to spend your time? Sitting by the beach with a cocktail in your hand at one of the cosy beach bars is a possibility too. The Isle of N’gor is a real treasure to do so. After a short boat trip you’ll land in paradise: pearly white beaches, palm trees and good food. And after a day of relaxing at the beach you can party all night in one of Dakar’s many clubs. Sounds like a holiday doesn’t it?

Culture and History

You can learn all about Dakar’s turbulent history as a trading post in the Museum Théodore Monod. And, this trading spirit is still seen all across the city by the way. In the many markets that are found all over Dakar and where pretty much anything is sold. Stroll around and at least visit the oldest and biggest market of the city, Marché Sandanga. You’ll be amazed!
