Cape Verde

Around 500 km off the African coast is the (tropical!) island group of Cape Verde. Snow-white sandy beaches and azure blue waters guarantee the ultimate holiday experience all year round.

Whether you fly in June or December, you will find summer temperatures in Cape Verde. And, equally as fantastic, the sea water is always warmer than 20 degrees. Not only is it perfect for floating all day on a raft, but also for water sports. The heavenly beaches of the islands of Sal and Boa Vista are perfect for snorkelling, diving and surfing!

Time zone

UTC -1. In winter, it is 2 hours behind The Netherlands and in summer it is 3 hours behind.

Currency

The currency used in Cape Verde is the Cape Verde Escudo (CVE).
