Salzburg is only 1.5 hours away

Salzburg is the starting point for a memorable skiing holiday. Book your ticket and be on your skis on your favourite slopes a couple of hours later. Salzburg is surrounded by the best skiing areas such as Zell am See, Saalbach, Hinterglemm or Kitzbühel that are easy to reach. There are buses from the airport to the different ski areas. You can also take a taxi or - even more convenient - rent a car.

Transport to/from the airport

Salzburg’s W.A. Mozart Airport is about 7 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    Taxis are outside the airport. It is a 10 minute drive to the centre of Salzburg.
  • Bus

    There are buses from the airport to the main railway station every 15 minutes. You can continue your journey from the railway station by taxi, bus or tram.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Salzburg:
  • Bus

    Most of Salzburg’s sights in the city centre are within walking distance of each other. Do you want to travel from one end of the city to the other? Salzburg’s bus company Stadtbus runs regular buses. The most important bus numbers are 1, 2 and 25.
  • Tram

    Salzburg’s trams are run by Salzburger Lokalbahn. The trams are a good way to explore the areas to the north of the city.
  • Taxi

    It is easy to find taxis in Salzburg. Note: taxis are more expensive than in the Netherlands.
