Split is the second largest city in Croatia. Its location on the coast makes it the perfect place for a fabulous beach holiday. But the city is also known for its historic centre: Diocletian’s Palace. This enormous magnificent Roman monument is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The taxi is the fastest way to get to the centre of Split. The trip takes 25 minutes. It is far more expensive than travelling by bus. Tip: haggling is accepted.
