The city’s airport is the arrival point for the winter sports locations. The skiing areas of Auron, Isola 2000 and Saint-Dalmas Le Selvage are only 1.5 hours from Nice. Auron has the highest mountain to ski on in the region: Cime du Chevalet. It is 2,450 metres high!

Transport to/from the airport

Nice Airport is located about 7 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.

    A taxi drive to the centre of Nice costs approximately €30. The taxi rates are slightly higher in the evening. At the airport, you will find taxis parked outside Terminals 1 and 2.
  • Bus

    Between 04:30 and 00:30, a bus leaves for the centre of Nice every 20 minutes from Terminals 1 and 2. Your ticket gives you unlimited travel in Nice for one day.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Nice:
  • Bus

    The most convenient way of travelling to destinations just outside the centre of Nice is by bus. Bus tickets are also valid in the tram.
  • Tram

    Nice has one long tram track. A tram stops every 5 minutes, which means you never have to wait long.
  • Train

    Got some time left in Nice? You can easily travel to other cities from the railway station in Nice.
  • Taxi

    In Nice, you will find taxi ranks near the sights and at the railway station. Of course, you can also hail a taxi on the street.
