Transport to/from the airport

Volos’ airport is located about 18 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.

    Volos airport has a taxi rank next to the terminal. You can recognise them by their yellow colour.
  • Bus

    From Volos airport you can travel by bus to Volos with the Magnesia Intercity Bus. The bus timetable is coordinated with the flight times.

    In Volos there are 12 bus lines run by the Astiko KTEL company. You can easily ride through the city by bus and to a number of locations just outside the city.
  • Taxi

    In Volos, taxis are an affordable way to travel through the city. The taxis in Volos use metres with different rates. One rate applies from 5.00 am to midnight and the other (double) rate from midnight to 5.00 am. So make sure you pay the right price.
