A half-moon shaped bay with an endlessly long boulevard, colourful souks, a modern marina and a wonderful climate. This is Agadir!

Agadir lies in western Morocco. It is the perfect place for trips to the Atlas Mountains! Its famous half-moon shaped bay with its sandy beaches and lively boulevard are Agadir’s favourite spots. Stroll to the end of the boulevard and look around the charming marina with its modern shops and boats. Do you want to admire Agadir from above? Climb the holy mountain displaying the Arabic words: God, the Fatherland and the King. It may be an effort, but the views from the top make it worthwhile! There is also the ruins of the old Kasbah (Islamic city). Complete your trip with a visit to a souk. It is {i>the<i} place to excite your senses!

When are you flying to Agadir?

With temperatures almost always above 20 degrees, it does not matter when you fly to Agadir. Agadir enjoys a comfortable climate all year round. Do you love surfing? There are plenty of places along Agadir’s coast where you can conquer the waves. So get your board out and enjoy the beach life in Agadir!

Transport to/from the airport

Agadir's airport is located about 25 km to the east of the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are outside, in front of the arrival hall. The journey to the centre of Agadir takes about 20 minutes. This costs 200 Dirham.
  • Bus

    Bus number 22 from the airport goes to Inezgane. From here you can change to bus 20, 24 or 28 to get to the centre of Agadir. The entire trip to Agadir costs about 7 Dirham.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Agadir:
  • Bus

    Buses are a cheap way to explore the city. The road network is good and it costs about 1 Dirham for 4 or 5 kilometres.
  • Taxi

    The fastest and easiest way to travel around Agadir is by taxi. Pick up a taxi from the taxi rank at Rue de Fes or Rue Yacoub el-Mansour in New Talborjt. You can also hail taxis on the street in Agadir.

Important information

  • It is recommended to be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and DTP. This is not obligatory. 
  • It is not advisable to drink the tap water in Agadir. Should you wish to drink water, it is best to buy bottled mineral water at one of the supermarkets.
