Transport to/from the airport

Lisbon’s airport is located about 10 km from the city centre. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi, bus or metro.
  • Taxi

    You can take a taxi from the arrival hall to the centre of Lisbon. Each piece of luggage costs €1.20.
  • Bus

    If you have no luggage or only one piece of luggage, then take buses 705, 722, 744, 783 and 208 (night bus). If you have more luggage, then take the Aerobus. Bus number 1 goes to the centre of Lisbon and number 2 goes to the city’s financial district.
  • Metro

    There is a metro every 6 to 9 minutes from the airport to the centre of Lisbon.

  • Metro

    Travelling by tram in Lisbon is fast and cheap. You can buy a ticket for the day for €6 for any form of public transport. You can buy these tickets at the major stations.
  • Bus

    Explore the area around Lisbon by bus. The bus will bring you to all corners of the city and to the surrounding areas.
  • Tram

    The tram is the most pleasant form of transport if you want to explore the narrow typical streets of Lisbon. Tip! Explore Lisbon by Elevadores. These small authentic yellow trams will bring you to the top of Lisbon and back again. They have become a wonderful attraction!
  • Taxi

    A good way to travel within Lisbon is by taxi. Hail a taxi on the street if its green light on the roof is lit.
