Are you going on holiday to Blanes or Lloret de Mar? Then you fly to Girona. But what about a holiday in Girona itself? The city has a lot to offer!
Fly to Girona and wander through the maze of old arcade houses dating back to the Middle Ages. The most characteristic of Girona´s houses are its 'hanging' houses. The houses' pastel coloured façades hang over the Onyar River - a remarkable sight. You can see them from the bridges that span the river. Behind these houses is the oldest area of the city, the Jewish quarter El Call. The character of the city comes from its paved streets with large churches and Gothic and Roman buildings. But you can also relax on one of the golden sandy beaches or in the bays.
