A holiday in Rhodos means lazing away the day on your towel on beautiful golden sand beaches. The island is very hot in the summer, the perfect time to take a refreshing dip in the breathtaking blue sea. Winters are mild, often with very pleasant temperatures. Transport to/from the airport

The airport of Rhodes is located about 14 km from the centre of its capital, Rhodes city. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are outside, in front of the arrival hall. It takes 30 minutes to get to the centre of Rhodes.
  • Bus

    In front of the airport, you will find the RODA buses, which will take you to the centre of Rhodes. The drive lasts approximately 45 minutes. Tickets cost about €2.30 and can be bought from the bus driver.

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere on Rhodes: 
  • Bus

    Rhodes has a good bus service connecting all the villages and cities on the island. Bus transport is operated by two companies: KTEL on the eastern part of the island and RODA on the western part. 
  • Taxi

    You can recognise the local taxis by their blue colour and white roof. You can hail them anywhere on the street. In the evening, the fares are higher than during the day.
