Transport to/from the airport

The airport of Catania is located about 7.5 km from the centre of Catania city. You can travel to/from the airport by taxi or bus.
  • Taxi

    The taxi ranks are outside, in front of the arrival hall. The journey to the centre of Catania takes less than 15 minutes and costs about €20 – luggage included.
  • Bus

    Bus 457 will take you to the centre of Catania in 20 minutes. The last stop of this bus is the central station of Catania. Tickets are valid for 90 minutes and can be bought from the bus driver for €1. 

Transport in the city/region

Travel anywhere within Catania: 
  • Bus

    Take the bus the explore Catania cheaply. Tickets can be bought in the bus and at all kiosks and stations.
  • Train

    Do you want to see more than Catania? Take the train and travel to large cities like Palermo!
  • Taxi

    You can hail a taxi anywhere on the street in Catania. Of course, you can also hire one at one of the taxi ranks, located, for instance, at the railway station. Note: the taxi fares are higher after 22:00.
