Bab Bou Jeloud lies west of the city, the most important gateway to the medina. Behind this gate lies a bustling square full of restaurants. It is a labyrinth of squares and narrow streets, where countless cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and souvenir shops are tucked away. What makes this port city interesting is that it has both western and eastern influences. The Morse building style in the western part of the city makes it feel as if you are in Spanish Andalusia, while in the eastern part you can stroll through Moroccan alleys to the Arab markets.
