How many pieces of luggage can I take in the cabin?
- One piece of hand luggage of max. 40 x 30 x 20 cm* (such as a small backpack or handbag). This can always be taken in the cabin, and you place it under the seat in front of you. The maximum allowed weight for your hand luggage is 10 kg.
- You can also always take an umbrella, a walking stick and one bag with duty free items on board.
If you want to take extra luggage, you can add a cabin bag (max. 55 x 40 x 25 cm*) to your booking, for example a trolley or travel bag, for a fee. Make sure you arrive at the gate on time, so you can board with the first group. Your hand luggage and cabin bag combined may weigh up to 10 kg. If you are travelling with a suitcase or large travel bag, you can add hold luggage (70 x 60 x 30 cm*) to your booking. You can do this while making your booking or through My Transavia.
If you have booked the Smart or Max fare, then your fare includes a cabin bag and Priority Boarding.
Tip: avoid extra charges at the airport
Measure and weigh your luggage at home before departure. If your bag or suitcase exceeds the allowed dimensions or weight, you’ll pay a surcharge of €70 or more at the gate, and your luggage will be placed in the hold.
