How do I enjoy a comfortable flight?
We all want to arrive at our destination well-rested and relaxed. We hope these tips will help you enjoy your flight.
Clothing during the flight
- The temperature on board may vary throughout the flight. Wear loose and comfortable clothing, preferably in multiple layers. For example, always bring a cardigan, that you can easily put on or take off.
- Wear closed shoes and socks. And bring an extra pair of socks for additional comfort during the flight.
Fit off the plane
- Stretch your legs occasionally. During your flight, you sit still a lot. This slows down the flow of blood through your veins. The risk of thrombosis increases with a flight lasting more than four hours. To avoid this, it is wise to move around every now and then. For example, walk up and down the aisle whenever you are allowed. Take time to occasionally stretch your arms and legs while in your seat. This way, you avoid stiffness and you get off the plane feeling fit and refreshed.
- Do your wear contact lenses? We recommend wearing glasses during the flight, to avoid dry or itchy eyes.
- Do you experience a lot of pressure in your ears? Bring nasal spray. This alleviates the pressure on your ears.
Comfort during your flight
- Make sure you stay well hydrated. You can buy bottles of water on board.
- Use a neck pillow and an eye mask to rest or sleep comfortably.
- Use noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs. As you are surrounded by your fellow passengers, it can be a bit noisy onboard. That’s why it's nice to shut out any noise with headphones or earplugs. We also sell earplugs on board that reduce both the pressure on your ears and the surrounding noise.
- Make sure you have entertainment onboard. Download a movie or series beforehand so you can watch it on the plane, bring a book or read our own Enjoy magazine.
