What else should I think about when flying with an assistance dog?

  • We advise you not to give your assistance dog anything to drink within 4 hours of departure.
  • Your assistance dog may also experience motion sickness. Therefore, do not feed your dog within 12 hours of departure.
  • Although your dog may be a bit restless during the flight, sedation before the trip is not recommended. It can make it harder for them to adjust to their new environment and may cause a drop in body temperature.

Please note: If you are flying from Eindhoven Airport, you must always report to the information desk in the departure hall. A staff member here will check the required documents for traveling with your assistance dog. You will then receive proof that the documents have been verified at the information desk.
