What is the best way to bring my medical baggage?
You may bring medical baggage on your flight. Read here what you need to know:
- You may check up to 15 kg of medical baggage for free. Pack any items you’ll need during the flight in your carry-on baggage. Your carry-on baggage must not exceed 40 x 30 x 20 cm.
- Medical baggage must be packed in a separate bag and presented separately at the check-in counter
- Notify us of your medical baggage at least 48 hours before departure by contacting our Service Center. You can do this Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
- Make sure you have a medical certificate in English, signed by your doctor.
- For sudden medical situations: Your medical certificate must not be older than 7 days at the time of departure.
- For chronic conditions: Your medical certificate must not be older than 6 months at the time of departure.
- Medical baggage will always be stowed in the hold. For special medical equipment we can make the exception to bring it on board. We’ll work with you to see whether your medical equipment can be taken on board or needs to go in the hold. We’ll also add everything to your booking so it’s all properly arranged. For medical baggage on board, you can bring this in hand luggage 40x30x20cm.
