What situations are covered by Chubb insurance?

When booking your trip with Transavia or afterwards in My Transavia, you can take out travel or cancellation insurance through our partner Chubb. We offer three distinct types of policies to choose from:

  1. Cancellation insurance.
  2. Cancellation insurance + flight and baggage cover.
  3. Travel and cancellation insurance.
Cancellation insurance

This insurance option is available during the booking process or in My Transavia, up to 7 days after the booking has been completed. With Chubb's cancellation insurance, you are covered for: 

  • Cancellation fees for each flight
  • Compensation of your ticket price + extras, such as checked baggage and seat reservations booked on www.transavia.com

Cancellation insurance + flight and baggage coverage

This insurance option is available during the booking process or in My Transavia, up to 7 days after the booking has been completed. With this insurance option, you are covered for: 

  • Cancellation fees for each flight
  • Compensation of your ticket price + extras, such as checked baggage and seat reservations booked on www.transavia.com
  • Up to €2,000 if your baggage is lost, stolen or damaged
  • Up to €250 if your flight is delayed or if you miss your flight

Travel and cancellation insurance 

You can take out travel and cancellation insurance for the duration of your trip with Transavia. This way you are covered from the moment of your departure until your return home.

  • Cancellation fees for each flight 
  • Compensation of your ticket price + extras, such as checked baggage and seat reservations booked on www.transavia.com
  • Up to €2,000 if your baggage is lost, stolen or damaged
  • Up to €250 if your flight is delayed or if you miss your flight 
  • Compensation of medical expenses

What Extra Benefits Include this Comprehensive Plan?

Automatic Coverage Extension: Coverage extends up to 14 days for transport delays or cancellations and up to 30 days for illness or quarantine.

Comprehensive Assistance Services: Includes emergency fund transfers, message relay, document replacement, translation, and legal help.

Hospital Cash Benefit: Daily cash support if hospitalized during your trip.

Extensive Liability Coverage: Up to €2,000,000 in personal liability protection.

Legal Expenses Support: Covers legal costs outside the Netherlands.
