Can I get individual assistance on board?
Transavia’s cabin crew are of course qualified to assist passengers. Cabin crew cannot not assist with eating, personal hygiene, administering medication or lifting or carrying a passenger. When you require such assistance, then you will have to travel with a companion/attendant aged 16 or over who can help you during the flight. This is necessary if:
- Passengers with a mental disability or developmental disorder who are unable to understand or follow safety instructions from the cabin crew;
- Passengers who are visually impaired, blind and/or deaf, whereby they are unable to communicate with the cabin crew or follow the safety instructions;
- Passengers who are unable to eat or drink unassisted;
- Passengers who require assistance with personal hygiene. Consider going to the lavatory;
- Passengers who need to use medical oxygen on board;
- Passengers who require medication or injections.
Would you like to travel with a personal companion? Please contact our Service Centre immediately after booking so we can help you with this in the best possible manner.
We have a wheelchair available on board. It can be used to go to the toilet. The condition for use is that you can get in and out of the wheelchair on your own, both from your chair and the toilet. The cabin crew is not allowed to assist with any lifting.
