What is the best way to bring my medical baggage?

You may bring medical supplies free of charge on your flight. Here’s what you need to know:

  • You can take up to 15 kg of medical supplies free of charge in the hold. Keep anything you’ll need during the flight in your hand luggage. Your hand luggage must not be larger than 40 x 30 x 20 cm;
  • Register your medical supplies in advance – either when booking or later by calling our Service Centre.
  • Make sure you have a medical statement in English.
    • For acute medical situations: your medical certificate must be no more than 7 days old at the time of departure.
    • For chronic conditions: your medical certificate must be no more than 6 months old at the time of departure. Medical baggage that you do not need during the flight is transported as checked baggage.
  • You may bring special medical equipment as an extra piece of hand luggage (max. 40 x 30 x 20 cm). If your equipment doesn’t fit, please call our Service Centre. We’ll work with you to see whether your medical equipment can be taken on board or needs to go in the hold. We’ll also add everything to your booking so it’s all properly arranged.
