Wintering in Portugal

Escape the bleak Dutch winter and enjoy the Portuguese winter sun. During the winter period the country is a bit quieter, so you won’t have to deal with the large crowds from holiday rush. In the south of Algarve you will find Faro. In March, the temperature swings between 16 and 22 degrees. This is ideal for an active holiday! The sea water will probably be cold, but the land temperature will be perfect for walks on the beach. Wander through the old city Cidade Velha, admire the historic buildings, and cap the day off with a glass of port in hand.
