Which documents will I need when travelling with a child under 18?

Is your child (under 18 years) travelling with a parent or carer, with an adult who does not have parental control, or is he/she travelling alone? You will often need a parental consent form. We recommend that you check the government website for the precise documents required.

When leaving France, an authorization form for minors to leave the country “Autorisation de sortie du territoire pour les mineurs” is required. This form must be completed and signed by the individual who has the child’s legal authority. A copy of the proof of identity for the person signing the form is also required.
