How do I spot fake social media and WhatsApp accounts?

Fake accounts sometimes impersonate Transavia by using our logo, or a name very similar to ours. Here are several ways to identify such fake accounts:

  • The name looks similar to Transavia, but contains slight differences (such as spelling mistakes, additional characters, or numbers).
  • The account lacks a blue verified badge.
  • Messages contain poor English or excessive use of capital letters.
  • You're redirected to suspicious websites or asked to provide personal information
  • The account promises free tickets or prizes in exchange for sharing content or entering personal details.

These are our official accounts:

  • Instagram: @transavia
  • Facebook: facebook.com/transavia
  • X (formerly Twitter): @transavia
  • LinkedIn: linkedin.com/company/transavia
  • TikTok: @transavianl
  • YouTube: youtube.com/@transavia
  • WhatsApp: You can only initiate a chat through our website. We will never contact you directly via WhatsApp.

Social media promotions

Are you seeing promotions claiming to offer free airline tickets in exchange for sharing content, or clicking on links? It's likely a scam. If you're unsure, check whether the promotion appears on our official channels. If it doesn't, don't engage with it, and certainly don't provide your personal details.

We only run competitions through our official social media channels.

If you're uncertain about the authenticity of a message, account or promotion, please contact us via one of our official social media accounts (which can be found at the bottom of every page on our website), or through our Service Centre.
