What are the fares for checked baggage?
If you arrive at the airport with checked baggage that has not been booked and paid for in advance, you can pay for additional checked baggage on the spot.
Please note that airport rates are higher than those applied on our website. In order to benefit from the best rates, we recommend that you purchase your additional checked baggage allowance while booking your flight or later, before check-in and up to 2 hours before departure on our website in your My Transavia account or during online check-in.
Prices for checked baggage may vary depending on the destination, the flight and the time of booking. The following rates apply to Transavia flight numbers that start with HV. You can find your flight number in your booking confirmation and on your boarding pass.
Total weight of your checked baggage* | Rate for one-way flight (online) * | Rate for one-way flight (at the airport) |
15 kg | €30 - €58 | €70 |
20 kg | €33 - €61 | €80 |
25 kg | €35 - €72 | €90 |
30 kg | €47 - €86 | €100 |
40 kg | €62 - €105 | €120 |
50 kg | €87 - €122 | €180 |
* The rates may vary depending on the destination, the flight and the time of booking. The actual rate will be shown at the time of booking.
Book your checked baggage allowance online before check-in and up to 2 hours before the departure of your flight, to benefit from a lower rate compared with the price applied at the airport. Any change of your booking cannot be done after check-in. You can see your checked baggage allowance and book additional kilos if necessary via My Transavia. At the airport, you will pay €15 per each additional kilo. Go to My Transavia to see how much checked baggage kilos you’ve booked.
For the Amsterdam-Beirut and Beirut-Amsterdam routes, you can book a maximum of 30 kg of checked baggage per person. If you’ve already booked 30 kg, you cannot book any additional kilos at the airport.
Good to know: different rates apply if you’ve booked a package holiday through a travel agency. Please ask your travel agency for these rates.
