Parents fly with their baby all the time, whether it’s to reach their holiday destination or to travel to family abroad to introduce the little one. We often get asked questions on this: are you allowed to take babies on the plane with Transavia? From when are you allowed to fly with a baby? And are prams permitted on the plane? On this page, you will find the answer to all these questions. At Transavia, babies are considered to be all children under the age of 2. Of course, the safety of your baby is our top priority. That is why you can fly with your baby from 7 days after birth. You can opt to keep your baby on your lap, at a cost of € 30 per single flight. The cabin crew will give you an extension for your belt. This way, your baby can sit safely in the belt on your lap. Please note that you are not permitted to take extra cabin luggage, but that is permitted if you buy a separate seat for your baby. This makes flying with your baby far more comfortable. Also ensure you have a car seat, such as a Maxi Cosi, on the plane. You are permitted to bring on board as much liquid (jars) or ready-made baby food and a maximum of 100 ml of boiled water to mix with the baby food. If you are breastfeeding, please feel free to do so on board. Flying with a baby is quite exciting for many parents.
