Can I travel with an expired document?
Passport
Passports that have expired for a maximum of 5 years are accepted in countries that are signatories to the European Agreement on the Movement of Persons between Council of Europe member countries.

If you are concerned, you can travel with a passport which has expired for less than 5 years between the countries of the Council of Europe.
Identity card
If the identity card was issued between January 2, 2004 and December 31, 2013 and if the person was of legal age at the time of issue, the period of validity of the identity document is automatically extended by 5 years. Most of the countries that tolerate this rule are in our flight program.
In any case, we recommend that you travel with a new ID or passport, to avoid any risk at the airport.
