Why must I enter additional details about my travel document when I want to check in online?
For a number of routes, Transavia is required to provide information from your travel document to the authorities in your destination and/or departure country. You will be notified during check-in if we need this information.
The reason this information is passed on is to reduce illegal immigration through better border control. We refer to these additional details as Advance Passenger Information (API).
We require the following information from you:
- Your full name
- Your gender
- Your date of birth
- The type of travel document (passport or identity card)
- The number of your travel document
- The country where your travel document was issued
- The expiry date of your travel document
- Your nationality
