Sicily
If you’re looking for an amazing holiday, this stunning island has it all. The Greek influences, beautiful nature (how about a volcano?), breathtaking beaches and of course excellent restaurants in lively cities. Sicily isn’t the biggest, so if you rent a car you’ll be able to see all of the island in a week. What are you waiting for?
Catania
The perfect starting point for discovering Sicily is Catania on the east coast of the southern Italian island. Your flight of about 2.5 hours will bring you to Catania, which is located at the foot of the famous Mount Etna volcano. Climbing Etna is a unique experience, and you’ll be able to enjoy breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscapes. When you’re bobbing about peacefully in the Ionic Sea, the volcano makes for a spectacular view. Whether you go on holiday to chill out and relax on a golden beach, or, if you prefer to go hiking in the mountains, that’s also possible near Catania. Catania is known as the ‘Milan of the south’, because of its numerous shops and great restaurants.
