What should I take into account when bringing medicine on board the aircraft?

  • Carry your medicines in your hand luggage
Keep the ones you’ll need during the flight in a separate bag inside your hand luggage (max. 40 x 30 x 20 cm), so they’re always within easy reach.
  • Bring an English prescription
Ask your doctor for an English prescription for your medicines. Show this at security if required.
  • Request a European medical passport
Request a European Medical Passport from your GP or pharmacist. This contains information on all the medicines you use in various languages. You can also show this at security if asked.
