Are you travelling with your own wheelchair, scootmobiel, crutches or a walker? That is not a problem of course! Read all the information here before you board.

Do you want to travel with your own wheelchair, crutches or a walker? That is no problem of course! Read all the information here before boarding. Do you walk with crutches, but don't need any help at the airport and can you climb stairs on your own? Then you do not need to report this in advance. You can take your crutches into the cabin free of charge. You can place them in the luggage compartment above your seat. The same applies for a cane. Would you like to know if a walker is allowed on the plane? You can take your walker with you right up to the gate. We will take your walker at the gate and transport it as checked luggage. Do you want to fly with a wheelchair? You can indicate this when you book or via My Transavia. Special rules apply to electric wheelchairs and scooters (which include a battery). You may carry your electric or battery-powered wheelchair as checked luggage provided that it meets the dimensions and weight requirements. Please note: your wheelchair or scooter can only be transported upright if the maximum height is 85 cm. For safety reasons, any lithium batteries in your electric wheelchair may only be transported as hand luggage. Remove the batteries, insulate the battery contacts with tape and take the batteries into the cabin as an item of hand luggage. It is possible to borrow a wheelchair at Schiphol Airport. You will find the wheelchair on the 'Traverse', the route from gate P1 to the terminal. There is also a location at Schiphol Plaza next to the lift to the train station and near Starbucks at Arrivals Lounge 4.
